Rivers Police Command issues message ahead of Eid-el-kabir festivities

 

Rivers State Police Command has given assurance of security to the residents of the State and guarantees that it will continue to work towards enhancing security and safety for the public before, during, and after this year's Eid-el-kabir festivities.

While facilitating with Muslim Community in the State, the Command called on the residents of the State to continue to cooperate with the Police and other security agencies in the State.

In the statement released by the Police Public Relations Officer, Rivers State Police Command, SP Grace Iringe-Koko, ANIPR, the Police Command said it has directed all Area Commanders, Divisional Police Officers and Tactical Commanders have been directed to dominate the State with overt and covert security deployments to safeguard the lives and properties of the peace-loving people of Rivers State.

The statement read; "The Rivers State Police Command wishes all Muslim faithful a delightful Eid-El-Kabir Sallah celebration. The Command further calls on the good people of the State to use this period of celebrations for sober reflection and to offer prayers for the peace and progress of the State and the nation at large.

"While felicitating with all Muslims, the Command is calling on the religious leaders, worshippers and residents of the State to as usual, cooperates with the Police and other security agencies in the state, as adequate security arrangements have been put in place to guarantee a hitch-free celebrations in the state. 

"Furthermore, all Area Commanders, Divisional Police Officers and Tactical Commanders have been directed to dominate the State with overt and covert security deployments to safeguard the lives and properties of the peace-loving people of Rivers State, as well as ensuring adequate security coverage at all worship and recreational centres.

 "Consequently, troublemakers with evil intentions to disturb the celebrations are warned to stay away from the state or face the full wrath of the law accordingly, please."
